How to access e-mail securely (Webmail, SMTP, POP3 & IMAP)

We support secure access to email on all of our hosting plans. The exact steps to take depends on your mail client, but the settings required are listed below.

Webmail Access
Accessing webmail securely is very simple, simply access it via one of the following URLs:

For customers on our UK servers: https://uk.mail.yourwebservers.com
For customers on our US servers: https://us.mail.yourwebservers.com

The use of webmail is exactly the same as the non-secure version.

Mail Client Access
If you are using POP3 or IMAP to access mail, you can use SSL or TLS to secure the connection. Which of these to use will depend on which your mail client supports.

Instead of the normal "mail.yourdomainhere", the server address should be one of the following. This is because it must match the certificate name:
For customers on our UK servers: "uk.mail.yourwebservers.com"
For customers on our US servers: "us.mail.yourwebservers.com"

The rest of the settings, apart from the ports, are the same as the normal email connection. The ports depend on the type of connection you are using:

Ports for TLS (same as standard ports)
SMTP: 25
POP3: 110
IMAP: 143

Ports for SSL
SMTP: 465
POP3: 995
IMAP: 993
